Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)

PRP is a regenerative agent that is used to treat a variety of targeted conditions, including alopecia (hair loss).

PRP is comprised of two elements:

1. Plasma (the liquid portion of blood), and 
2. Platelet (a blood cell that plays an important role in healing throughout the body).

Platelets contain growth factors that trigger cell reproduction and stimulate tissue regeneration.  Through the use of a medical device, we separate the other components of blood from the plasma and then, concentrating the plasma with platelets, create PRP.  This PRP is then re-administered into targeted areas to stimulate collagen production, increase skin tightening and elasticity.

PRP may be administered through a variety of modalities, including either topically or through microneedling.
